3 prisoners died under torture in Marib prisons: Prisoners’ Affairs Committee

SANAA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – The National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs on Saturday said that Saudi-led coalition mercenaries and traitors of the homeland in Marib province had committed a heinous crime against three prisoners of the army and popular committees.

“The coalition mercenary forces in Marib tortured the prisoners Khalid Ahmed Ali Abdullah al-Quraish from Sanaa province, Mohammed Hussein al-Mahbashi from Hajjah province and Ahmed Saleh Ahmed Ali Jahmous from Dhamar province inside the prison until they died under torture,” the committee said in a statement.

Bodies of the three prisoners are still held by the coalition mercenaries, the statement added.

“The repetition of these crimes against prisoners indicates that they were carried out under the directives of the highest leaders in the aggression coalition countries and their mercenaries,” the Committee affirmed.

The Committee called on the United Nations and international organizations to take serious action to condemn these crimes and protect prisoners, as agreed in Sweden consultations.
