Army attacks increase coalition losses in Jawf fronts

JAWF, Oct. 9 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by popular committees on Wednesday increased the human and material losses of Saudi-led coalition forces during the past few hours on several fronts in Jawf province.

A military source confirmed that the artillery unit targeted gatherings of the coalition troops on al-Maton front, leaving dead and wounded in their ranks.

A 12.7-caliber machine gun of the coalition forces was destroyed by artillery shelling on al-Saqiya front in al-Ghayl district, he added.

Earlier in the day, the military source said the coalition forces suffered significant human losses in two attacks on their positions in al-Salan in al-Masloub and al-Saqiya front in al-Ghayl.

The army’s engineering unit ambushed a group of the coalition soldiers in Ham front of al-Moton district, which resulted in several dead and wounds, according to the source.
