Israeli settlers storm Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron

SANAA, Oct. 9 (YPA) – Hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed (Cave of Machpelah), known to Muslims as Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron and turned it into a “Synagogue”, Palestinian media reported on Tuesday night.

The settlers at the Ibrahimi Mosque performed their prayers amid dance and Talmudic rituals as they celebrated the so-called “Yom Kippur”.

The incursion was carried out with the help of the occupying forces, who expelled the employees of the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs and prevented Palestinians from entering it.

Israeli soldiers turned the perimeter of the Ibrahimi Mosque into a military barracks, closed all entrances and blocked the movement of citizens and residents in the area.

The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs of Palestine has called on the international community to stop this madness, which governs the behavior of the occupying government in dealing with Islamic and Christian holy sites.

At the same time, the occupying forces allow settlers to storm the Ibrahimi Mosque in all its grounds and squares, while Palestinian worshippers are prevented from entering it.
