Army spokesman vows to respond to every hostile action of coalition

SANAA, Oct. 8 (YPA) – The Yemeni army spokesman Brigadier Yahya Serie on Tuesday vowed that every hostile action by Saudi-led coalition forces would be responded, even if it is a single air strike.

“The continuation of air strikes confirms the lack of real intentions of the aggression coalition in reaching a new stage in which peace prevails,” Brig. Sarie said during a press conference he held in Sanaa.

Sarie pointed out that the total number of airstrikes by the coalition aggression during last August and September reached 1760 air strikes on different provinces, including 1317 raids on Saada province and 249 on  Hajja province.

The coalition air raids led to the killing of 205 citizens and injuring of166, mostly women and children, according to the spokesman.

He said that the air raids carried out by the enemy after the initiative of President of the Supreme Political Council for peace amounted to 300 raids, including those left to dead and wounded.

The spokesman confirmed that the Yemeni air defenses with available capabilities would counter any sorties of the enemy, whether combat or reconnaissance.

“Our military operations are aimed at alleviating the suffering of our people and defending them,” he said, adding “If this goal is achieved peacefully, this is better for us.”
