Journalist assassinated, another injured in  Abyan

ABYAN, April 20 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen on Friday assassinated a journalist and wounded another citizen in southern Yemen’ province of Abyan, Yemen Press Agency reporter said.

The journalist,  Abdullah Omar,  was killed while another person, Hassan Ashal, was injured by unidentified gunmen,  believed their affiliation to al-Qaeda and ISIS.

The assassination took place near the junction of Aal-Ashal  village east of Modiah district.

The southern provinces witness a major security chaos, amid  increasing growth of assassinations numbers recorded in unknown gunmen  under the light of the invasion and occupation of United Arab Emirates forces’ control.
