35 Parliament members are due to stand trial

SANAA, Sept. 10 (YPA) – The Public Prosecution on Tuesday referred 35 defendants from the parliament members for trial on charges of harming the independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Yemen, and communicating with foreign countries, namely Saudi Arabia and the countries allying with it in the aggression against Yemen.

A judicial source in the Public Prosecution said that these procedures came after lifting of the parliamentary immunity from the 35 defendants, in accordance with legal procedures.
