Salvation Gov’t is committed to combat money laundering crimes: Official

SANAA, Aug. 3 (YPA) – Head of the National Committee for Fight against Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Dr. Hashim al-Shami on Saturday said that the National Salvation Government is committed to combat money laundering crimes.

At the opening of a training course in the field of combating money laundering and financing of terrorism organized by the Committee, Dr. al-Shami stressed the importance of training and qualifying cadres working in this field to develop their skills and capabilities in order to contribute to the optimal implementation of the law.

Dr. al-Shami emphasized the need to continuously update information and exchange information between different bodies and the Committee to know the means of tracking the money laundering operations and deal with them at first.

He touched the great dangers caused by the crimes of money laundering and the financing of terrorism, as organized transnational crimes, and their impact on the economic, social, security and political aspects.
