Presidency stresses need to tighten oversight over public funds

SANAA, April 10 (YPA) – Director of the Presidency Office, Ahmad Hamid, on Tuesday stressed the need to take measures to achieve effective oversight over public funds within the framework of the state building project launched by President Saleh al-Sammad.

Hamid, who headed a meeting for the leadership of the Central Organization for Control and Auditing (COCA) in the capital Sanaa, urged adoption of professional standards and rules and appropriate visions for auditing.

He confirmed the political leadership’s keenness to hold accountable any corrupt official in any administrative unit and take all legal procedures against him in such a way as to ensure the fight against corruption in the state administrative and financial bodies.
