HODEIDAH, May 16 (YPA) – The Redeployment Committee on Wednesday held a meeting in Hodeidah province with the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation and the UN inspection team and the UN Development Program (UNDP) to discuss the inspection verification mechanism at the port of Hodeidah.

The meeting approved the formation of a technical committee from the Corporation to sit with the inspection team to place a future mechanism for inspection teams.

At the meeting, Head of the United Nations for supporting the implementation of Hodeidah agreement Janez Frernandes praised the unilateral redeployment step initiated by the National Salvation Government in the Red Sea ports, calling the other party to take the same step to implement Stockholm Agreement.

Member of the Redeployment Committee Brigadier Mohammed al-Qadri said that the technical committees that were formed from the ports would begin their work with the United Nations teams next Saturday, May 18.

Al-Qadri noted that the local experts team would submit the final report on the port needs and the necessary projects to be implemented on May 25.
