Expanded meeting discusses development of revenues in metals sector

SANAA, May 7 (YPA) – An expanded meeting was held on Monday in Sanaa at the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority to discuss the development of revenues and resources in the mineral sector.

The meeting dealt with the executive steps to control the violators who work without permits in the extraction of mining materials and quarries.

At the meeting, Minister of Oil and Minerals Ahmed Daress noted that Yemen has vast mineral wealth that could enable it to achieve an economic renaissance.

He stressed the importance of exploiting the mineral wealth and achieving revenues that serve the country and the mineral sector.
