Bernie Sanders: The Saudi-led coalition has committed another horrific attack in Yemen

SANAA, April 10 ( YPA) – US Senator Bernie Sanders has condemned the heinous massacre committed by the Saudi-led coalition in the northeastern district in capital Sanaa, which killed 13 people, mostly female students.

“Another horrific attack in the Saudi-led war in Yemen. More children dead,” Sanders tweeted

President Trump, I urge you to sign the resolution Congress passed last week ending U.S. support for this conflict. Yemen needs humanitarian aid, not more bombs.

Senator Bernie Sanders is leading the Senate effort to end the complicity of the US in the atrocities being committed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Yemen.

According to the Common Dreams website,  the move came in response to the latest Saudi-led attack on Yemen, which comes about two weeks after the coalition bombed a hospital in Saada province in northern Yemen.

The US Congressman Ted Lieu demanded to know whether the Trump administration provided the Saudis with “targeting or other assistance… for this airstrike that killed girl students.”

“Why is the Trump administration still supporting the Saudi-led coalition, which has committed multiple war crimes?” Lieu asked.

Reports of the Saudi-led coalition’s continued bombing of Yemen come days after the U.S. House voted to send the Yemen War Powers resolution to Trump’s desk.
