Hundreds of people protest in Taiz to stop security chaos

TAIZ, April 1 (YPA) – Hundreds of people from the city of Taiz on Sunday protested against the terrorist acts, assassinations attempts and security chaos, Yemen Press Agency correspondent reported.

The protesters also called for bringing criminals, who stand behind the corruption in the province, to the justice.

Taiz has witnessed a security collapse for three years since Saudi-backed militants occupied large areas in the province.

The militants, who are affiliated with Islamic Sunni Islah party backed by Saudi Arabia, have been seeking to impose control over the province, as rival United Arab Emirates are attempting to form an Aden-style “elite security force”.
