Hodeidah acting governor asks UN ceasefire chief to secure aid access to 7,000 residents besieged by coalition
HODEIDAH, March 31 (YPA) – Hodeidah acting governor Mohammed Ayash on Sunday sent a letter to the head of the UN cease-fire mission Michael Lollesgaard to secure humanitarian aid access to over 7,000 residents besieged by Saudi-led coalition forces in Durayhemi district south of Hodeidah city since November last year.
The aid provided by international and local humanitarian agencies cannot access the area due to coalition airstrikes and siege on the district, according to the letter seen by Yemen Press Agency.
