PALESTINE, March 27 (YPA) – At least six Palestinian citizens were injured on Wednesday during clashes with Israeli occupation forces at the northern entrance of Al-Bireh city, northern the occupied Al-Quds.
The clashes broke out between the occupation forces and Palestinian students who left Birzeit University after a solidarity stand with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and a protest against the arrest of three students from the university campus by forces affiliated to the occupation.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that its crews dealt with five injuries during the clashes that erupted at the Beit El checkpoint in the city of Al-Bireh.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that a young man was shot in the leg during the clashes in Al-Bireh.
