Saudi-led coalition begins 5th year of aggression with massacre in Saada

SAADA, March 26 (YPA) – At least seven civilians were killed and eight were wounded in Saada province on Tuesday in the first crime of Saudi-led coalition in the beginning of the fifth year of the aggression on Yemen.

According to a security source, the coalition aircrafts waged an airstrike on a gate of a rural hospital in Kitaf district, killing seven citizens and injuring eight others.

The source said that the death toll is likely to rise as the warplanes continue flying over the area and preventing rescuers to access the wounded.

“There were missing persons from those who were next to the hospital wall, including patients came from villages of the district for treatment,” said Mohammed Shari, director of the health office in the district of Kitaf.

“It is a war crime and a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law,” Shari added, calling on humanitarian and human rights organizations to visit the scene of the crime and to see the damage caused to the hospital by the coalition air strike.
