SANAA, March 18 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a campaign of arrests at dawn on Monday, arresting eight citizens in West Bank.
The Israeli army said that its forces had arrested the family of Abu Laila, 19, (his father, mother and brother) from Az-Zawiya town in the Salfit province, after he was accused of carrying out Ariel Operation.
The Israeli occupation forces have planned the operation’s home for the purpose of examining the possibility of demolition, as well as they carried out extensive checks and inspections at the entrances and exits of the villages.
The Israeli occupation army said it had carried out a campaign of arrests in Nablus, Jenin, Ramallah, Salfit and other cities as part of the search for the attacker of Ariel settlement operation on Sunday and confiscated cameras from shops.
A siege was imposed on the villages of Burkin and Az- Zawiya, and the occupying army established a joint Research unit in cooperation with Shabak to continue researching and investigating the attack.
Preliminary investigations by the Israeli occupation army revealed that the attacker Salfit had been hit by a bullet in his shoulder, fired by a soldier at the junction of the settlement of “Ariel”, but could not kill him and he was able to flee towards the neighboring village of Burkin.
“The commander of the military force in the area fired and hit his shoulder, but the latter managed to flee and hundreds of soldiers were involved in the search for him,” the Hebrew outlets reported.
On Sunday, an Israeli soldier was killed and another soldier and a settler were critically injured in a “stabbing and firing” attack at the junction of the “Ariel” settlement north of Salfit.
