Ethiopian airlines plane crashes with 157 people on board

SANAA, March 10 (YPA) – An Ethiopian Airlines flight has crashed during a trip to Nairobi with 149 passengers and eight crew members on board, Ethiopian media reported on Sunday.

According to the media, the airplane “ET302” dropped from radar 6 minutes after departure from Addis Ababa.

The spokesman for Ethiopian Airlines has reportedly confirmed that the flight has crashed with 149 passengers and eight crew members on board.

According to the spokesman, the incident occurred at 8:44 a.m. local time.

He indicated that the plane was en route from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to Nairobi, Kenya.

It is a brand new Boeing 737 MAX 8 – delivered to the airline just four months ago.
