Army foils 2 infiltration attempts by coalition-backed militias in Hodeidah

HODEIDAH, March 9 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Saturday foiled two infiltration attempts by militias loyal to Saudi-led coalition towards the engineering college and the 50th Street in the city of Hodeidah, western Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The official said that the coalition militias suffered human and material losses, during their infiltration, without making any progress on the ground despite the intensive artillery shelling.

Many of the coalition militants were killed and others wounded and a military armored vehicle was burned during the confrontations, the official added.

He considered these infiltration attempts by the coalition militias a new violation of Sweden agreement.
