SANAA, Feb. 19 (YPA) – Iraqi authorities on Tuesday announced the liberation of the five citizens kidnapped by ISIS in the north of the country.
“A special unit of the army forces were able today to free the five citizens of the judiciary who were abducted days ago in the western part of Qadha ,” al-Sumaria News s quoted Colonel Hussein al-Akidi as saying.
“The process of liberation took place after an army operation was carried out in the Anbar desert,” Hussein al-Akidi said, adding that “the operation was carried out near the area west of Rawah, 210 km west of Ramadi.”
Governor of the province, Hussain al-Akidi, said last Friday that ISIS had kidnapped five Iraqis from the city.
