Army Spokesman: Coalition’s forces intensify violations in conjunction with visit of UN envoy
SANAA, Feb. 18 (YPA) – The Spokesman of the Armed Forces, General Yahya Sarea, confirmed that the aggression and its militias are trying to circumvent the UN resolutions and renounce their commitments in the Sweden agreement.
The coalition’s forces intensified their violations in conjunction with the visit of the UN envoy and talk about practical steps and measures to implement the first phase of the redeployment plan in Hodeidah, Sarea added.
He said in a statement to the Yemen news agency “Saba” that the intelligence confirms that the coalition’s militias intensified their reinforcements, fortifications and trenches which confirms their intentions to carry out offensive operations and commit further violations and crimes against the citizens of Hodeidah.
Sarea warned the coalition and their militias against the consequences of their continued violations and the danger of taking a step or action, holding full responsibility for their ongoing violations and crimes might threaten to derail the Swedish agreement.
The spokesman said that our forces are committed to the agreement and ready to implement the redeployment plan, which is ready to deal with the situation as required by the reality on the ground.
He called on the UN envoy and the head of the observer team to shoulder their responsibilities in implementing the agreement and stop the violations and crimes of coalition against the innocent citizens.
