SANAA, Feb. 10 (YPA) – Morocco has recalled Mohamed Aitouali, the country’s ambassador to the UAE, to consult after tension between Morocco and Saudi Arabia has escalated, Moroccan media reported on Saturday.
Ashkain independent website quoted sources as saying that the Kingdom of Morocco summoned its ambassador to the UAE this week against the background of the UAE’s stand behind a report published by a Saudi television station.
But other media reported that the ambassador’s call was made for “administrative arrangements” requiring him to return to Morocco, while Morocco or the UAE did not comment officially.
Rabat recalled its ambassador to Saudi Arabia following a report by the Saudi Arabian channel “Against the territorial integrity”, which promotes the right of the Polisario Front to the disputed Sahara.
