Salvation Gov’t, Save the Children discuss cooperation in child protection field
SANAA, Feb. 9 (YPA) – Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor for Development Sector in the National Salvation Government Yahya Qarwash on Saturday discussed with Save the Children’s delegation the needs plan for 2019 in the child protection field.
The meeting also touched on the possibility of the organization’s support for the Disabled Care Fund and the child care centers of the ministry.
In the meeting, Qarwash reviewed the results of the field visits to the safe areas of child protection in the capital Sanaa and in Amran and Hajjah provinces.
He pointed out that the children protection was provided through the ministry’ centers in all provinces, but the aggression of Saudi-led coalition caused the decline in the level of these services to a minimum level compared to the previous situation.
The meeting stressed the importance of rehabilitating the staff working in the child protection field by the ministry and the importance of involving it in evaluating the projects carried out by the organization in this regard.
