Bahraini authorities arrest 13 citizens

SANAA, Feb. 9  (YPA) – Rasd network in Bahrain documented the arrest of 13 citizens, including a religious scholar and the father of a martyr, and raided dozens of houses in about nine areas of Bahrain during the first week of February.

According to Lulua website,  the network said that this escalation comes before the revival of the eighth anniversary of the launch of the revolution of February 14, asserting that during the first week, which lasted from 1 to 7 February, the Bahraini authorities launched a raid on Alameamir and took a citizen with her son, as well as The members of the security services also stole money and possessions from the houses which they raided and cracked its contents.

The United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child (CRC) on Friday expressed its concern about the ill-treatment and torture of children in Bahrain. “It remains deeply concerned about the arbitrary detention of children and reports of ill-treatment by members of the security services and detention centers.
