121 persons died due to swine flu spread in Yemen: Health spokesman
SANAA, Feb. 7 (YPA) – Spokesman of the Yemeni Health Ministry Sanaa Yousef al-Hathari said that the spread of swine flu (H1N1) has been inflicting 590 persons since its spread in Yemen.
Al-Hathari said in a statement, that 121 out of 590 persons have died until February 5.
“Medicine to combat the disease is not available in the warehouses of the ministry, nor in the Yemeni commercial markets, because of the disappearance of the virus since 2011,” he said.
Al-Hathari touched upon that the ministry will hard work to combat diseases and epidemics in various ways in all over the country, calling the international organizations to intervene quickly to save the Yemeni people.
