SANAA, Feb. 6 (YPA) – Prime Minister Dr. Abdulazzab Saleh bin Habtoor on Wednesday met with the Secretary General of the National Council for Population Mutahr Zabara, who handed him a comprehensive report on the Council’s activities and current conditions.
The report included a full presentation on the activities of the Council during the past period as well as its plan of action for the current year and its activities towards population aspects and issues, including the main topics to be discussed by the next meeting of the Council under the head of Prime Minister.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the great importance of the Council and its activities in this period in which the population faces great difficulties and challenges.
He directed the Council to give special attention to current population problems and to conduct research and field studies associated with them.
The meeting was attended by Ministers of Planning and International Cooperation Abdulaziz Al-Komaim, Public Health and Population Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakil, Agriculture and Irrigation Engineer Abdulmalik Al-Thawr.
