President discusses with Minister of Works rehabilitation, maintenance’s work of roads, bridges

SANAA, Feb. 6 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat,  on Wednesday discussed with Minister of Public Works and Roads Ghaleb Mutlaq the progress of the ministry and its institutions and the difficulties it faces.

During the meeting, the officials discussed the plans of the Ministry of Works for the current year as well as projects implemented and under implementation in the field of roads and bridges in the capital and a number of provinces.

The officials  also discussed the efforts exerted to maintain and rehabilitate the network of roads and bridges, especially those which were destroyed by the coalition’s airstrikes, to ease the suffering of the citizens and facilitate their movement.

Mr. President praised the efforts of the Ministry of Public Works in the maintenance and rehabilitation of roads and bridges which were targeted by the coalition’s warplanes, as well as the regular maintenance of the road network, especially in light of the exceptional situation that homeland passes through.

He stressed on the concern to address the difficulties facing the ministry to enable it to carry out its tasks and improve the network of roads and bridges in various provinces.

The Minister of Public Works and Roads referred to the Ministry’s plans for the next phase in the implementation of rehabilitation and emergency maintenance projects and routine, thanking the support of the President of the Supreme Political Council of the Ministry to enable it to carry out its tasks in improving the network of roads and bridges.
