FM meets Deputy Director of UNFPA

SANAA, Feb. 6 (YPA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Hisham Sharaf on Wednesday met with Deputy Executive Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Dirjen Vardova and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister praised to the role played by UNFPA in Yemen, especially during this exceptional period in the Republic of Yemen.

He called on the Fund to increase the level of cooperation and support in the field of health and medical to include the largest possible number of targeted, especially in rural and remote areas, which were severely affected by the aggression and the total siege.

For his part, Vardova said that the United Nations Population Fund puts the situation in Yemen a high priority, noting that he will discuss with the leadership of the Fund ways to raise humanitarian support to Yemen.
