ADEN, Feb. 3 (YPA) – Dozens of people in Yemen’s southern province of Aden on Sunday staged a protest demanding the disclosure of the fate of their relatives, who have been forcibly disappeared in the UAE-run secret prisons for more than a year.
The protesters raised banners calling on the United Nations and human rights organizations to intervene to stop violations against the detainees and those forcibly disappeared and to press for the disclosure of their fate.
Families of the disappeared and detainees along with the Association of Abductees’ Mothers in Aden demonstrate almost daily to denounce the violations committed by the UAE and its local militias represented by the so-called “security belt forces”.
