Five police officers wounded in Houston, USA

SANAA , Jan. 29 (YPA) – Five Houston police officers were wounded in shooting while trying to carry out a search warrant on Monday, USA officials and local media reported.

The officials did not disclose the condition of the injured police officers.

Houston police said in a letter to Twitter that the site was still an active theater of crime and advised people to avoid the area.

According to Reuters, Sylvester Turner, mayor of Houston, said on” Twitter “that a suspect was also shot.

The Houston Chronicle newspaper quoted a law enforcement source as saying the officers had been wounded while members of the Drug Enforcement Administration were carrying out the search warrant.
