Gunmen attack local council HQ in Yemen’s Aden

ADEN, Jan. 28 (YPA) – Tribal gunmen on Sunday evening attacked the local authority building in Sheikh Othman district of Aden province, southern Yemen, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

According to sources, armed clashes erupted in Sheikh Othman district between the tribesmen of Subaihah and members of a militia affiliated with al-Mahdar brigade.

The sources noted that the clashes came after the tribesmen of Subaihah tribe attacked the local council headquarters in the area with a grenade bomb.

The so-called presidential protection has responded to the attack and pursued them in alleys of Sheikh Othman area.
