100 orgs stopped in Sanaa for their suspicious roles in “surrender winds” scheme

SANAA, Jan. 27 (YPA) – Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Yahya Qarwash on Sunday said that 100 organizations have been stopped for their suspicious roles in spreading the surrender atmosphere within the so-called “Peace Winds” scheme adopted by “the aggression forces.”

“We have stopped 100 organizations were working to implement the aggression countries-financed scheme with two million dollars to spread the atmosphere of surrender or what so-called “peace winds,” Qarwash told the Yemeni official newspaper “Al-Thawrah” in a press interview.

The minister explained that those organizations and institutions attempted to target 1000 organizations to work in one day on websites and media, and even at the level of fronts.

Since the beginning of 2015 until today, the number of organizations and institutions that have obtained work permits amounted to about 2,000 civil society organizations in all provinces of the country, according to Qarwash. He added that only 400 civil society organizations are active out of 13,000 registered organizations.

He indicated that the ministry has replaced those destructive projects with meaningful projects, but the enemy has focused on targeting women, especially that many of them are running civil society institutions.
