HAJJAH, Jan. 24 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Thursday launched a large- scale attack on sites of militants loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Hajjah province, northern Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
According to information obtained the Agency, the operation targeted the militants’ positions, and it was launched from several axes, towards enemy positions, East and south of Jabal al-Nar.
The battle which took place in Hradh district left over 30 militants dead and over 44 others wounded as an initial statistic of the enemy’s human casualties.
The army forces were able to take control and liberate several sites during the attack, and cut the supply lines to the militants,
The army seized different type of weapons l in large numbers left by the in south and east of al-Nar Mountain.
Meanwhile, the anti-armor unit launched an intensive attack on the same, leaving death and injuries in the militants’ ranks.
Furthermore, the army fired Artillery shells and Katyusha rockets on gatherings of the militants causing human and material casualties.
