Secretary-General of Ansarullah Political Bureau meets Deputy UN envoy

SANAA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – Secretary General of the Political Bureau of Ansarullah Fadl Abu Talib on Monday evening met in the capital Sanaa with United Nations Deputy Special Envoy to Yemen Moin Shreem.

They discussed a number of issues related to the outcomes of Sweden consultations; especially Hodeidah and prisoner exchange agreements and the comprehensive political solution in Yemen.

During the meeting Abu Talib confirmed that among the challenges facing the implementation of the Hodeidah agreement is the bias of head of the Coordination Committee for Re-deployment, General Patrick Cammirate, by trying to turn the agreement and dragging it into context outside what was agreed upon in the consultations.

On the file of prisoners, Abu Talib said that “the non-response of the aggression countries led by Saudi Arabia and the UAE to the agreement and their failure to disclose the fate of prisoners held by them has obstructed the agreement and the completion of its stages.

The meeting also touched on the general framework of the political solution, which will be the focus of the upcoming negotiations under the auspices of the United Nations.
