SANAA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – The US Geological Survey announced on Tuesday that a magnitude 6 earthquake occurred Indonesia’s central island of Sumbawa.
According to Reuters agency, the epicenter of the quake was about 219 km south of Raba in eastern Sambawa and at a depth of 25 km.
There were no reports of damage or casualties.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said on its website that there was currently no tsunami warning.
More than 3,000 people died in Indonesia from a series of earthquakes and tsunamis in 2018, the deadliest year in more than a decade.
