Wide outrage in Saudi Arabia after Alamari’s death

SANAA, Jan. 22 (YPA) – Saudi activists on social media on Monday voiced outrage over the death of the detainee, Ahmed Alamari, a week after he was taken to a hospital.

They said that the “intentional” medical negligence by the Saudi authorities led to the death of the preacher al-Amari, who was arrested months ago.

Activists accused the Saudi authorities of practicing systematic torture against the detainees, which could lead to death.

They also had reported months ago of the death of the preacher Suleiman al-Dawish and writer Turki al-Jasser, who were both detained for more than a year.

Activists said that what happened to the detained women activists, most notably Lujain al-Hathlol of torture, a threat of rape, and the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, indicates that the Saudi authorities continue their systematic measures taken by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
