UN says Patrick Cammaert safe after shooting in Hodeidah

SANAA, Jan. 17 (YPA) – The spokesman for the UN Secretary-General Stéphane Dujarric said on Thursday that the head of the coordination committee for redeployment in Hodeidah, General Patrick Cammaert and his team  is in safe.

Dujarric said i on his Twitter page that Cammaert and his team were safe after shooting in Hodeidah province,  adding that he would give more information about the incident later.

A source in the Coordination Committee of the delegation of the Supreme Political Council had previously revealed in press statements about the exposure of the security team of the UN Coordinating Committee for the shooting of the coalition weapons, during opening the road in the 50th Street towards the May 22 Hospital in the city of Hodeidah in order to reach the place of the other team .

The source asked the UN Commission to clarify the situation to the public opinion, as the Committee became a witness to the practices aimed at thwarting the agreement of Sweden by the coalition forces.
