Army repels coalition’s attack in Hajjah

HAJJAH, Jan. 15 (YPA) – The Yemen army on Tuesday repelled an attack on Haradh district, carried out by militants loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Hajjah province, northern Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The battle, which took place in Mazraq area left dozens of the militants dead and wounded, the official said.

According to the official, the army forces destroyed a military pick-up with an explosive device, planted by army’s engineering unit, killing all its crew members.

Earlier in the day, the artillery unit of the army shelled gatherings of the militants at al-Nar Mountain of the same district, causing direct casualties.

On Monday, at least five coalition-backed militants were killed in sniping attacks in Midi desert.
