Al-Houthi: Saudi-led coalition and its allies seek to obstruct the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement

SANAA, Jan. 9 (YPA) – The chairman of the Supreme Revolutionary  Committee, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, has said that the national delegation of (Ansarullah movement) agreed to sit at the negotiating table with representatives of Riyadh-backed delegation during the latest round of UN-sponsored peace negotiations in Sweden, and struck a peace deal only because of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the crisis-hit Arab country.

 He noted that the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression and its allies continued to commit crimes against humanity and violate international and humanitarian law, in addition to their continued blockade imposed on the Yemeni people, which caused the greatest humanitarian crisis in the world.

“Despite some violations by Saudi-led coalition and its allies, the peace deal continues to stand feebly, “Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said an exclusive interview with Press TV television news network aired on Tuesday.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi emphasized a number of principles that the Yemeni people have in dealing with issues at the local, regional and international levels.

He, however, underlined that Yemeni army forces and allied fighters from Popular Committees are fully prepared to respond to any act of aggression committed by Saudi Arabia.

 Al-Houthi then stressed the need for a political solution to the ongoing Yemen conflict and an end to the atrocious Saudi-led bombardment campaign on the country.

 He revealed the efforts of the coalition’s countries and their mercenaries are trying to obstruct the implementation of Stockholm agreement through their numerous breaches of the cease-fire in Hodeidah.

He concluded that Saudi Arabia has failed to attain its goals in the war on Yemen and that the oil-rich conservative kingdom will never reach them.
