Israeli air raids target sites of resistance in Gaza

SANAA, Jan. 7 (YPA) – Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids on Palestinian resistance positions in the Gaza Strip early on Monday.

A spokesman for the army of occupation, Avichai Adraai, said in Twitter, “Israeli fighter jets raided a number of targets inside a camp of Hamas in the northern Gaza Strip.

He claimed that the Israeli shelling came in response to the launching of a rocket from the Gaza Strip towards Israel late on Sunday.

The Israeli site “i24” said that the sirens sounded in the vicinity of the coastal city of Ashkelon in the south of occupied Palestine, in the early hours of dawn, warning of the arrival of a rocket-propelled grenade towards the city, noting that “missile defense system” Iron Dome “was then moments of missile intercept.

On Sunday, the Israeli occupation army shelled the resistance in the Gaza Strip, one of them in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip and the other east of Gaza City.
