Update: Yemeni army foils coalition’s attack in Asir

ASIR, Jan. 3 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Thursday repelled an attack carried out by militants loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Asir region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The battle, which took place in Majazh district left dozens of the militants dead and wounded, the official said.

According to the official, the attack lasted several hours, but without making any progress on the ground.

Earlier in the day, the army forces foiled an attack of the militants on army’s position in Alib crossing, killing and injuring dozens of them.
