1,000 refugees return to Syria from abroad over past 24 hours

SANAA, Jan. 2 (YPA) – Russian Centre for Refugee Reception, Distribution and Settlement on Tuesday has reported the return of 1,000 Syrian refugees to their country in the past 24 hours.

In a statement issued by the center on Wednesday, the center said that “During the past  24 hours,  at least 1,033 refugees returned to Syria, including 364 people, including (109 women and 185 children), from Lebanon through the New Jav Bus” and “Talkalakh” crossings,  and 669 refugees who returned from Jordan through the Naseeb crossing, including ( 201 Women and 341 children). the statement read.

The engineering units continue to remove mines from land and facilities inside Syria, where, within 24 hours, some 12 hectares of land have been cleared and 28 improvised explosive devices (IEDs), including one improvised explosive device, have been deactivated.
