Al-Houthi: Rejoice in New Year’s Christmas, and remember tragedy of Yemen..!
SANAA, Jan. 1 (YPA) – Chief of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, on Tuesday wrote to the Arab newspaper “Ray al-Youm” an article, in which he talked about how Yemenis face the new year 2019, while the world exults Christmas.
Al-Houthi called on the free peoples in the world to put beside their joys what reminds them of the world tragedies, especially the tragedy of Yemeni people, whom are being killed, by reducing Saudi oil and pumping it as bribes to maintain the alliance of corrupt aggression coalition.
“While Saudi and Emirati regimes are bringing the mass to improve their image, they are bringing in prohibited weapons to commit massacres against Yemen’s children and women,” al-Houthi said.
He added that while the UAE and Saudi regimes would boast of the money they spend to celebrate Christmas, there are Yemeni children who have no food to keep them alive except foliage.
“On this occasion, which is celebrated by the world, we want the world to know that with every rose is being endowed, there is a country called Yemen, where people starve, because of the U.S. administration, Saudi Arabia and their allies,” al-Houthi said.
He referred that Saudi-led coalition’s crimes in Yemen are documented and have been announced by many international organizations, including the United Nations.
“Keeping the war statistics without updating for almost two years has contributed to the world’s lack of attention to the magnitude of the human tragedy made by the aggression coalition in Yemen,” he said.
“The diminutive figures that many politicians refer to when they talk about the forgotten war in Yemen are a witness to that,” he added. A fixed number is mentioned, as it is said there are 10,000 civilians have been killed in Yemen, and (85000) children died due to starvation and disease, which is almost the figures stated by the United Nations since 2016 on the number of civilian deaths, while the real figures are so much higher.
He pointed out that the failure to update the crime statistics confirms the lack of seriousness to expose the Saudi regime and its supporters.
On the results of Sweden consultation, al-Houthi said “We in Sanaa look at the commitment to results of the consultations in Sweden as a very important issue, and we deal with them seriously.”
He pointed to the salvation government forces’ commitment to redeployment in Hodeidah by implementing what he described as the most important point in the agreement unilaterally.
