Yemeni army repels coalition’s attack in western coast
HODEIDAH, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on late Sunday foiled a large-scale attack carried out by militants loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Hodeidah province, western Yemen, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
According to the official, a group of the militants tried to advance towards a number of the army’s positions in the west of part of Hays district in the western coast, but army units forced them into retreat.
The militants suffered an unknown number of casualties during the failed attack, the official added.
The official noted that the Saudi-led coalition and its militants continued to violate the ceasefire in Hodeidah province through bombing residential neighborhoods and farms in several areas of Tuhita and Durihami districts.
