2 UAE-backed militiamen killed in Abyan

ABYAN, Dec. 20 (YPA) – At least two UAE-backed militiamen were killed on Thursday and others injured in an improvised explosive device blast in al-Mahfad district of Abayn province, southern Yemen.

According to a security official, the explosive device was planted by al-Qaeda elements and detonated remotely in a military checkpoint of the so-called “security belt forces” loyal to the UAE occupation forces, and led to the killing of two militiamen.
