MARIB, Dec. 18 (YPA) – Top military commander was killed on Tuesday in an offensive carried out by the Yemeni army in Marib province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.
According to the official, the army forces launched an offensive on the sites of militants loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in Hilan Mountains, killing and injuring dozens of them, including a top military commander.
The official confirmed that “Bilal Shayf Alaw”, head of operations officer of the so-called Saqr 1 battalion was killed in the attack.
The army forces were able to push the coalition-backed militants back, liberating several sites, the official said.
