FM meets OCHA Director in Yemen

SANAA, Dec. 9 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Sunday met in Sanaa with Director of UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen, Sebastien Trives.

The two sides reviewed the efforts being made to end the suffering of Yemeni people in light of Saudi-led coalition’s war on the country.

The meeting touched on the pledges conference to be held next year, which aims to discuss the Yemeni society needs within the humanitarian action framework, which require approximately more than four billion dollars for the year 2019.

In the meeting, Sharaf reiterated the keenness of the national salvation government to cooperate with all international organizations and the UN agencies operating in Yemen in order to facilitate their work.

Sharaf expressed his appreciation for all humanitarian efforts being made in the country.
