SANAA, Dec. 2 (YPA) – UN humanitarian coordinator for Yemen, Lise Grande, said on Sunday that over 6,500 displaced families from Hodeidah city have been suffering harsh conditions since June in Abs district of Hajjah province, 140 kilometers north of Hodeidah.
“The United Nations is currently building three thousand 200 shelter for displaced people in the district of Abs,” Grande said in a tweet on her Twitter account.
UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock, said in a statement issued at the end of his visit to Yemen on Friday that the issue of the displaced is the worst result of the war in Yemen.
