SANAA, Dec. 2 (YPA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday said that an urgent solution must be found to the Yemeni crisis that has continued for about four years.
“The international community keeping silent about the humanitarian crisis in Yemen bears responsibility for the hungry and innocent children pulled from under the rubble,” said Erdogan in a press conference he held at the end of the G20 summit in Argentina’s capital, Buenos Aires.
Erdogan stressed the need to ease the suffering of Yemeni people as soon as possible and to maintain the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
He pointed out that the comprehensive political solution is the only way to achieve lasting peace and stability in Yemen, expressing Turkey’s support for efforts to revive negotiations under the umbrella of the United Nations.
