FM meets director of UN special envoy’s office

SANAA, Nov. 18 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf Abdullah met on Sunday director of the office of the UN special envoy to Yemen, Nicholas Davies.

At the meeting, the officials discussed the latest developments in the UN special envoy’s mission to resume negotiations and a political settlement’s process in Yemen.

Sharaf touched upon the military escalation led by Saudi-led coalition in the western coast which is caused the worsening humanitarian situation, calling on the importance of adopting the international community and the United Nations a role for a political peace solution.

Meanwhile, Davies said that the UN special envoy Martin Griffiths would continue in doubling his efforts to success the peace talks between all parties.
