UAE occupation appoints new representative in Socotra Island

SOCOTRA, Nov. 6 (YPA) – An official in Socotra Island on Tuesday said that a new representative of Khalifa Foundation of the UAE occupation in the island was appointed instead of Khalfan al-Mazrouei.

The occupation authorities assigned Saeed al-Kabi to carry out the task of representative of the foundation, which is performing intelligence actions under the pretext of humanitarian work in the island, the official added.

The UAE occupation has been able to tight its control over the local authorities largely inside the island through presenting slight relief aid to the citizens.

The occupation has recently worked to establish the so-called security belt forces in the island and sent dozens of people for military training in Abu Dhabi.
